Glavbolgarstroy welcomed in the newly opened Brussels office the management of the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) and the Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC). During the meeting, focused on the current state of play of the construction sector in Bulgaria and the European Union, the participants discussed topical issues for the industry such as: lack of workforce, the entering of Chinese construction companies on the European market and the existing opportunities for protecting the interests of the local/European companies.

The meeting in the GBS Brussels office was attended by: Mr. Kjetil Tonning, President of the European Construction Industry Federation, the Vice-President of FIEC Mr. Lubomir Katchamakov and the Director General of the association. The position of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber was presented by the Chairman of the Management Board Mr. Iliyan Terziev and the Honorary Chairman of BCC Mr. Simeon Peshov. From the side of Glavbolgarstroy Holding at the meeting was present Mr. Svetoslav Lyubomirov, Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Director of the Holding.

Further to the sectoral issues were discussed as well: the integration of BIM technologies in the Bulgarian construction sector, Horizon 2020/ Horizon “Europe” programmes and the existing possibilities for the companies, the industry associations and the academy.
