Glavbolgarstroy hosts Korean Development Institute delegation for working meeting
Glavbolgarstroy hosted the first meeting of a working visit by a Korean delegation to Bulgaria as part of an experience exchange project with the Korea Development Institute. This project, financed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea and implemented in collaboration with Sofia Tech Park, aims to analyze the current state of Bulgaria's construction sector, focusing on the digitization of processes and the potential for efficient and rapid integration of various software solutions.
Emil Angelov, CEO of Glavbolgarstroy Holding, opened the meeting, expressing confidence that sharing best practices in digitizing the construction sector would facilitate their actual implementation in operational environments. This initiative is expected to create prerequisites for avoiding potential difficulties, for which working solutions already exist. The research team from Korea was led by Ino Son, Executive Director of the Center for Information Technology and Education at the Korea Development Institute. The delegation also included representatives from leading Korean universities specializing in construction, such as Chung-Ang University and Hongik University, who shared their experiences with digital solutions in the Korean construction sector and discussed similarities and differences with the situation in Bulgaria.
Plamena Nenkova, Deputy Executive Director of Glavbolgarstroy Holding, outlined the current developments within the Glavbolgarstroy group. Additionally, a team from Glavbolgarstroy Prefab, led by Eng. Georgi Dikov, the company's Executive Director, showcased specific digital solutions employed in the daily operations of their reinforced concrete structures plant.
The Korean research team's work on the project will continue over the next few months, with a final report, including conclusions and recommendations, expected to be presented to the Bulgarian public in the middle of the year.
