“Glavbolgarstroy” started the construction of a new logistics park near Bozhurishte for Transpress
The ceremony for the “first sod” was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy Kalina Konstantinova, the Deputy Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency Majide Ahmedova, the Executive Director of the National Company “Industrial Zones” Antoaneta Bares, Angel Buhlarski, Deputy Mayor of Bozhurishte Municipality. and Eng. Kalin Peshov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Glavbolgarstroy AD.
For the construction of the new logistics centre in Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park will be invested ten million levs by Transpress, which is a leading Bulgarian transport and logistics company. According to the plan, the park should start operating at the end of 2022.
The project is located in an area of 40 decares. The built-up area will be 8 thousand square meters, including the construction of a cross-docking platform, cargo handling warehouse, zones for distribution of shipments and goods, an office and a centre for Customer Service.
Аlso, an additional 60 ramps are planned to be constructed. It will allow the simultaneous loading and unloading of 60 trucks with a 24/7 working mode of operation, and it will follow the standards of a global company. It will be possible to process up to 12,000 tons per day. The parking area can accommodate up to 100 tracks and 300 cars.
“This will be the largest logistics park of Transpress so far. The second one is in Sofia and 14th for the country. It will also be part of the international network of over 400 points of our global partner – Dachser “, explained Veselin Stoyanov, founder and manager of Transpress.
The main priority in the construction of the new logistics centre is the
utilization of “green” technological solutions, which are planned at the project level through different energy-saving systems. Those systems will improve the efficiency of the building, including preparation for photovoltaic installation on the roof. The warehouse will also be equipped with the latest generation of high-efficiency and “green” lifting machines. Following the trends for the transport development, charging power stations will be built as well.
The construction is entrusted to the largest construction company in Bulgaria – “Glavbolgarstroy”. The group won the competition with its extensive experience in the construction of industrial buildings and the usage of innovative technologies. The main competitive advantage of the Bulgarian construction company is its production base for prefabricated reinforced concrete elements. In this project, Glavbolgarstroy will take over their production, delivery and installation, and finishing works.
