Glavbolgarstroy” JSC started  work on the expansion of an existing facility (TMF) for fahleite waste at “Aurubis Bulgaria”,  Pirdop .

The first groundbreaking of the site was on May 25, 2016. The impromptu event at the landfill site was attended by representatives of the project management team, construction supervision and the contractor.
The project envisages an extension of the existing tailings pond for storage of fayalite waste, consisting of two cells – A and B, of a total living area of 446,6 decares, which will be built in 8 stages up to the height of the existing landfill. The cells are surrounded by earth-dykes, protected by an insulating screen and equipped with drainage systems.
