The reconstructed compressor station Strandja was opened

The third of the four modernized compressor stations of “Bulgartransgaz” was commissioned.

The reconstruction of “Strandja” CS amounts to nearly BGN 70 million, and the investment in new equipment for the four compressor stations (Ihtiman, Lozenets, Strandja and Petrich) exceeds BGN 200 million. In the middle of the year, the one in Petrich will also be open.
The project is funded by “Bulgartransgaz”, implemented by “Glavbolgarstroy”, and the equipment, gas turbine aggregates, is of the US company “Solar Turbines”.
The ceremony for the opening of Strandja Compressor Station was attended by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Deputy Prime Minister for European Funds and Economic Policy Tomislav Donchev, Energy Minister Temenezhka Petkova, Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Yambol Georgi Slavov, US Ambassador to Bulgaria HE. Eric Rubin, MPs, representatives of local government and business.
