Nature of works

The reconstruction is part of the total project worth more than BGN 200 million for the modernization of four compressor stations – “Strandja”, “Petrich”, “Lozenets” and “Ihtiman”, through the integration of low-emission gas turbo compressor aggregates.

Modernization of the facilities is being carried out by “Glavbolgarstroy”, while the equipment is supplied by the US company Solar Turbines.

The reconstruction of the compressor station includes expansion of the existing compressor sites and the installation of new gas turbine compressor units next to the existing machines, thereby increasing the power of the combustion equipment.

The modernization brings the four compressor stations in compliance with the European environmental requirements and increases their operational safety.
