Biovet has opened its newest plant for pharmaceutical products and fodder supplements in Peshtera, Bulgaria. Nearly BGN 300 million have been invested in the super-modern enterprise, which was constructed by Glavbolgarstroy Holding.

During the implementation of Bulgaria’s largest investment in manufacturing for the year, Glavbolgarstroy has completed five separate projects: a plant for manufacture of pharmaceutical products and fodder supplements with 12 subprojects and a total build-up area of over 25 000 m2, a logistic center with a total built-up area of 8 500 m2, an electrical supstation 110 kV with a total built-up area of 1 580 m2, an installation for instant granulation with three subprojects with a total built-up area of 9 600 m2, reconstruction of a hotel, as well as a reconstruction of Waste water treatment plant with 400 000 Population equivalent.

The production at the new plant is expected to begin in March 2020, creating more than 200 jobs for highly qualified specialists in the fields of biotechnology, chemistry and engineering.

The plant is funded by a Junker plan loan from the European Investment Bank.
