GBS joins the Eurogas Renewable Gas Conference in Brussels

On 4 July, Federico Nahuel Lazzari, Head of GBS Representative office in Brussels and Secretary-General of Build Europe participated in the Eurogas Annual Renewable Gas Conference held in Brussels. The conference addressed the challenges and opportunities in scaling up renewable gases to meet the 2050 climate neutrality goals.

Under the theme 'Renewable gaseous energy: Where is the demand?', the conference brought together energy experts, policy makers, and industry leaders. Discussions were led by notable figures including Cristian Signoretto, Eurogas’s new President, and representatives of the European Commission from DG Energy, who explained the recent legislative efforts to improve the market for hydrogen and biomethane.

The program included presentations from Zoltan Elek of Landwärme, Marcel Steinbach from SEFE, and Maria Pia De Caro of Pernod Ricard, who discussed the local and global effects of renewable gases. Two panel discussions, led by moderator Sonja van Renssen, focused on the future role of renewable gases in different industries, highlighting the importance of a varied approach to the transition to cleaner energy.

Federico Nahuel Lazzari's attendance at the conference is a clear indicator of GBS's commitment to sustainable energy and its efforts to increase its network of partners in Europe. GBS aims to stay informed about EU legislation and actively contribute to shaping the direction of future legislative developments.
