Glavbolgarstroy and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) have signed a memorandum of cooperation focused on education and the development of future business professionals. The purpose of the memorandum is to establish a close partnership between the construction company and the academic institution, aimed at nurturing the potential of young talent.

The document was signed by Emil Angelov, CEO of Glavbolgarstroy, and Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of UNWE. Angelov expressed his readiness to initiate a joint business academy in collaboration with the university, which would support young people in developing skills and gaining practical experience aligned with the needs of the modern business environment.

“The construction sector needs well-prepared, proactive, and educated young professionals who can meet the challenges of today’s rapidly evolving world,” Angelov emphasized during the signing ceremony.

On his part, the Rector of UNWE highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between the private sector and educational institutions. “The connection between universities and business is essential for business development and for ensuring that companies have access to well-educated professionals with the right specialization,” Prof. Dimitrov stated.

The memorandum between the construction company and the university aims to establish coordination and implementation of joint projects, internship programs, training initiatives, and other collaborative activities. It also seeks to support future professionals in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for their professional development.

The cooperation will be coordinated by Plamena Nenkova, Deputy Executive Director "International Affairs and Business Development", and Kalin Marinov, Head of International Affairs and Strategic Development" at Glavbolgarstroy. On behalf of UNWE, the coordinators are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Boneva, Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Politics, and Prof. Dr. Georgi Zabunov, Dean of the Business Faculty.

The official signing ceremony was attended by Kalin Marinov, as well as Eng. Yuliyan Prilepski, Acting Vice-Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Hristov, Vice-Dean for Quality and International Cooperation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Simeon Asenov, Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of International Economics and Politics; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristina Kharizanova-Bartos, Vice-Dean for Quality and International Cooperation at the Business Faculty.
