Glavbolgarstroy Delegation held a series of meetings with Hyundai E&C on the implementation of a strategic energy project

A delegation from Glavbolgarstroy visited Seoul, South Korea, last week as part of a working visit dedicated to discussing key aspects of the implementation of the strategic project for the construction of Units 7 and 8 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, utilizing AP1000 technology.

During the visit, a series of technical and expert meetings were held with representatives of the South Korean conglomerate and main contractor for the project in Bulgaria — Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) — as well as high-level talks between the management teams of the two companies.

The discussions focused primarily on the current progress of the project, the planned activities for its upcoming implementation phases, and the opportunities for deepening cooperation between the two corporate groups. The parties also explored prospects for expanding their partnership to include other projects in Bulgaria and the wider Southeast European region.

The Glavbolgarstroy delegation expressed confidence that the partnership with Hyundai Engineering & Construction will continue to develop dynamically, contributing to the successful and timely execution of the project, which holds strategic importance for the region and for Bulgaria’s national energy security. Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to maintain active dialogue and joint efforts toward achieving their common objectives, as well as to expand their collaboration in other areas of mutual interest.
