Leading global companies discuss technological solutions, infrastructure development and the outlook for the energy industry

Glavbolgarstroy participated in the 58th Annual Convention of the International Pipeline and Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA), held in Athens at the end of September. The event brought together representatives of CATERPILLAR Inc. (USA), Bonatti S.p.A. (Italy), American Augers (USA), SICIM S.p.A. (Italy), Spiecapag (France), ENKA A.Ş. (Türkiye), MAX STREICHER S.p.A. (Italy), and China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Corporation (CPP, China), among others, representing a broad range of expertise in the construction, engineering and maintenance of onshore and offshore pipelines, compressor and pumping stations, terminals and facilities, as well as offshore engineering projects.

As part of the convention, Zara Kiziryan, Executive Director of GBS Energy Solutions and a member of the IPLOCA Board of Directors, was elected Chair of the Scholarship Programme. The programme provides financial support for the education of the next generation of students from families of employees of IPLOCA member companies, based on their academic achievements and recommendations from educators.

Kiziryan also plays an active role in the Membership Committee, which promotes opportunities for professional interaction and engagement within the organisation.

The annual convention is traditionally one of the key international platforms for the exchange of expertise, technologies and best practices in the development of energy infrastructure. This year, the forum was held as part of IPLOCA’s 60th anniversary celebrations. During the event, Glavbolgarstroy also held a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of international companies in the sector. The discussions focused on sharing experience and exploring opportunities for future cooperation, including the implementation of strategic energy and infrastructure projects.
