Glavbolgarstroy opened its supermodern construction factory in Pazardzhik

The supermodern plant for pre-stressed reinforced concrete structures of “Glavbolgarstroy PREFAB”, part of the large family of “Glavbolgarstroy Holding”, was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Mayor of Pazardzhik Municipality, Todor Popov, and Mr. Dimitar Karamitrev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Glavbolgarstroy PREFAB”, led the celebration

Located on the main road between Pazardzhik and Saraya village, the enterprise boasts technological equipment from formwork systems of the world’s leading producer, Progress Group, its own fully automated concrete unit with EUROMECC equipment that has a production capacity of 43 cubic meters per hour and a modern laboratory for daily control, guaranteeing the highest quality of the production.

“In a little more than half a year, we managed to construct a plant on a small piece of land, with the most advanced equipment, in order to have the best possible technological lines”, Karamitrev said during the ceremony and thanked the local institutions for their cooperation in the process of controlling the construction and commissioning of the plant. “We are Glavbolgarstroy and we know how to build, but this here is not simply construction. This is our biggest investment in recent years. An investment in the future of the company and in the future of the region,” added Karamitrev.

The reinforced concrete elements produced at the plant are particularly suitable for the construction of industrial, logistics, public and commercial facilities. Buildings made of such elements are competitive with any similar steel structure in terms of fire resistance, size of support distances, resistance to seismic impacts, durability, time of execution of the projects and their financial value.

The Mayor of Pazardzhik Todor Popov congratulated everyone and highlighted the importance of the investment for the region: “This investment is important, because on the territory of the municipality of Pazardzhik we will have a manufacturer of this type of products, which will be extremely valuable for us in terms of public investments, related to the recovery and resilience plan. I want to thank Glavbolgarstroy for choosing Pazardzhik for this investment,” commented Popov.

The newly–opened plant provides 63 jobs, with a capacity of 80,000–140,000 square meters of built–up area per year, and a wide selection of frame construction schemes.

“Glavbolgarstroy PREFAB“ provides an extensive range of services, from research and design to production, delivery, and installation of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements, facade panels, roof packages, and insulation materials.
