Glavbolgarstroy took part in the IPLOCA Regional Meeting in the United States
Zara Kiziryan, CEO of GBS Energy Solutions EAD and member of the global association’s Board of Directors, joined the global energy dialogue
Glavbolgarstroy is taking part in the IPLOCA Regional Meeting being held in Houston, Texas. Zara Kiziryan, CEO of GBS Energy Solutions EAD and member of the global association’s Board of Directors, is among the participants in the event, which brings together leading experts in energy infrastructure, engineering companies, and investors from across North America. The forum focuses on the future of the sector, investment trends, and key projects on a global scale, as well as the transformation of the global energy industry under the influence of artificial intelligence.
In 2025, Kiziryan assumed the position of Regional Director for Eastern Europe, representing the association’s members from the region and supporting the work of IPLOCA’s committees.
The regional meeting in the United States precedes one of the most important global energy forums—CERAWeek, which will take place in Houston from 23 to 27 March 2026. The conference brings together ministers and government representatives from numerous countries, along with leaders from the energy, technology, and financial sectors, to discuss key trends shaping energy markets, emerging technologies, and the geopolitical challenges facing the industry. CERAWeek provides opportunities to establish new partnerships and exchange expertise among countries worldwide, with relevance both for companies’ international initiatives and for the development of strategic projects in Europe and Bulgaria.
In this context, in 2024, Glavbolgarstroy established its first U.S. company—GBS Technologies Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company is working to expand the Group’s partnership network in the United States and is actively engaged in dialogue on topics such as infrastructure investment, construction technologies, the regulatory environment, and opportunities for cooperation with leading U.S. companies and professional organizations. Alongside its international activities, GBS Technologies is also involved in initiatives and projects related to the development and modernization of energy infrastructure in Bulgaria.
