“Glavbolgarstroy” welcomed the delegation of the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan in Bulgaria
Glavbolgarstroy hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan at its headquarters in Sofia.
The main focus of the discussions between eng. Kamen Peshov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Glavbolgarstroy Holding JSC, and Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, the exchange of expertise in key sectors, and future forms of partnership between the Bulgarian construction holding and the Ministry of Uzbekistan.
During the official meeting, the parties explored opportunities for joint initiatives in the areas of social and residential infrastructure, as well as the promotion of innovation and human capital development.
Emil Angelov, Chief Executive Officer of Glavbolgarstroy Holding, and Plamena Nenkova, Deputy Executive Director “International Affairs and Business Development” presented to Minister Kudratov, Deputy Minister Akram Aliev, and other members of the delegation, the major projects the bulgarian company is implementing in the fields of energy, road, and residential construction across the country.
The delegation was also introduced to the MOBICCON-PRO plant — an innovative facility for construction waste recycling, unique in Southeast Europe. They were introduced to the plant's operational processes, through which construction waste is processed in several stages and reintegrated into the production cycle.
The exchange of valuable experience in strategic public-interest sectors and the joint development of sustainable and modern infrastructure are among the strategic priorities outlined in the official Memorandum of Cooperation between the construction company and the Ministry. The memorandum was signed in June this year during the 4th International Investment Forum in Tashkent. It provides for collaboration in initiating, planning, and implementing projects based on established international approaches and best practices.
Later that month, Glavbolgarstroy further strengthened this partnership direction by signing a bilateral agreement with the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This document outlines the joint commitment of both parties to facilitate the organized recruitment of Uzbek citizens for temporary employment in Bulgaria.
The joint actions and initiatives between Glavbolgarstroy and the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan reflect a shared vision for development and the establishment of long-term cooperation in strategic sectors for both countries.
