Nature of works
The project involves the construction of a new University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment, aimed at increasing the capacity and expanding the range of medical specialties offered by the existing St. Marina Hospital.
Technical characteristics
The hospital building consists of seven above-ground floors and one underground level.
The facility is designed with eight separate entrances for patients, visitors, and staff, as well as one dedicated service entrance for logistics and operational support.
The building features a reinforced concrete structural frame. The roof structure is designed as a flat reinforced concrete roof incorporating thermal insulation, vapor barrier, and waterproofing systems.
The hospital will include:

- Radiation Oncology Department
- Nuclear Medicine Unit
- General and Clinical Pathology Unit
- Outpatient Consultation and Examination Clinics
- Operating Theatre Complex
- Intensive Care and Resuscitation Department – 15 inpatient beds
- Hematology Department – Level III Competence – 30 inpatient beds
- Pulmonology Department – Level II Competence – 28 inpatient beds
- Neurology Department – Level II Competence – 36 inpatient beds
- Gastroenterology Department – Level III Competence – 30 inpatient beds
- Cardiology Department – Level II Competence – 15 inpatient beds
- Nephrology Department – Level II Competence – 27 inpatient beds
- Gynecology Department – Level III Competence – 46 inpatient beds
- Endocrinology Department – Level II Competence – 14 inpatient beds
- Maternity Department – Level II Competence – 25 inpatient beds
- Neonatology Department – Level II Competence – 10 pediatric beds and 10 neonatal incubators
The healthcare facility is designed to accommodate up to 432 occupants, excluding visitors and medical students.
