Glavbolgarstroy joins forces with HILL International, Honeywell, Emerson, and CRC Evans for a strategic energy project in Bulgaria
The consortium participates in the tender for the construction of the Vertical Gas Corridor
For the purpose of constructing the "Vertical Gas Corridor," which aims to enhance natural gas transmission capacity at the Kulata - Sidirokastro and Negru Voda - Kardam interconnection points, Glavbolgarstroy has partnered with major technology and engineering companies such as HILL International, Honeywell, Emerson, and CRC Evans.
The project consists of three lots: a loop from Kulata to Kresna, a gas transmission pipeline from Piperevo to Pernik, and a loop from Rupcha to Vetrino. Lot 1 (Kulata to Kresna loop) and Lot 2 (Piperevo to Pernik transmission pipeline) will be executed in three parallel stages, while Lot 3 (Rupcha to Vetrino loop) will proceed in two parallel stages.
The Kulata to Kresna loop includes a linear section, a gas pipeline purification station at "Kulata," and another at "Kresna." This involves constructing a high-pressure gas pipeline with a 700 mm diameter and approximately 48 km in length, along with associated technological facilities.
The Piperevo to Pernik transmission pipeline will comprise a linear section, a gas pipeline purification station "Piperevo 2," and an automatic gas distribution station "Radomir." The project entails building a high-pressure gas pipeline with a 500 mm diameter and around 53 km in length, alongside the "Radomir" AGRS and a diversion pipeline, along with associated technological facilities.
For the Rupcha to Vetrino loop, there will be a linear section and a gas pipeline purification station at "Vetrino." Construction involves a high-pressure gas pipeline with a 1200 mm diameter and approximately 61 km in length, along with associated technological facilities.
These projects, vital for increasing capacity from Greece to Bulgaria and from Bulgaria to Romania, are integral to the Vertical Gas Corridor and the broader objectives of diversification and enhancing supply security. Implementation will enable Bulgartransgaz's gas transmission network to handle increasing volumes of natural gas from various dependable sources in a south-to-north direction.
