Nature of works
The project aims to increase natural gas transmission capacity at the Negru Vodă/Kardam interconnection point in the direction from Bulgaria to Romania.
The scope of works includes spatial planning, detailed engineering design, procurement of all required materials and equipment, construction, testing, commissioning, and putting into operation of the Rupcha–Vetrino Looping Pipeline.
Technical characteristics
Rupcha–Vetrino Looping Pipeline
Phase – Pipeline Section
Phase – Vetrino Pipeline Pigging Station
The project includes the simultaneous construction of:
- A 61.4 km natural gas transmission pipeline with a diameter of DN1200, design pressure (DP) of 5.94 MPa, and maximum operating pressure (MOP) of 5.4 MPa;
-
Block valve stations:
- Partizani 2 Block Valve Station
- Hrabrovo 2 Block Valve Station
Both with a diameter of DN1200;
- Vetrino Pipeline Pigging Station, including a DN1200 pig launcher/receiver facility and one reversible pigging chamber;
- DN1000 interconnecting pipelines between the transmission pipeline and Nova Provadia Compressor Station and Provadia Compressor Station, with a total length of 280 m, design pressure (DP) of 5.94 MPa, and maximum operating pressure (MOP) of 5.4 MPa;
- BV 7B Block Valve Station with a diameter of DN1000.
