Nature of works

Execution of structural works using precast reinforced concrete elements, shell-and-core construction, and finishing works for the Bulgarian Army Stadium.

Technical characteristics

The investment project envisages:

  • Comprehensive reconstruction of the stadium and its transformation into a modern sports facility compliant with current standards and regulations;
  • Landscaping and enhancement of the surrounding areas, including the integration of approximately 40 decares (4 hectares) into Borisova Gradina Park for public use.

The stadium complex is divided into four main sub-projects (stands):

Stand A

Stand A consists of five above-ground floors and two underground levels. The main access is provided through the northwest façade of the building.

The stand accommodates a total of 2,548 seats, organized into several zones with different levels of access and hospitality provisions.

Stand B

Stand B is divided into two separate areas: a home supporters' section and an away supporters' section.

The seating capacity is distributed as follows:

  • 3,042 seats for home supporters;
  • 1,261 seats for away supporters;

The away supporters' section can be expanded to 1,746 spectators through the addition of 485 standing places.

Stand V

The stand provides permanent seating with a total capacity of 4,546 spectators.

Stand G

Stand G has a seating capacity of 4,720 spectators, with the possibility of increasing the total capacity to 5,494 spectators through the addition of 774 standing places.

All seats are manufactured from non-combustible materials and comply with the requirements specified in the Fire Safety Design documentation.

The seating layout has been designed in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

The project also includes site grading, landscaping, and improvement works in the areas surrounding the stadium.
